UPS Freight (LTL) Direct:

I am sorry to hear that you are having an issue with the UPS Ground Freight (LTL) Rating API. I would be happy to assist you with this issue.

The error message you are receiving "Invalid Access License number" is caused when you are sending the Freight Rate request to production and you have not requested production access from UPS for the Freight APIs.

To request production access for the UPS Ground Freight (LTL) APIs, please follow the steps below:

1. Go to https://www.ups.com/upsdeveloperkit/
2. Login to UPS.com.
3. Click on “Manage Access Keys”.
4. Go to the section "REQUEST PRODUCTION ACCESS". Enter your access key and choose “Request Production Access”.
5. Click “Continue” on the popup window.
6. Select the API you require access to the Production Environment for:

Pickup - Ground Freight
Rating - Ground Freight
Shipping - Ground Freight

7. Click the [Request Access] Button.

You will receive a confirmation page stating that you have received production access.

Additionally, the UPS.com User ID profile may also need to be registered on the My UPS Freight web site in order to access the Freight contract rates. I have included some steps to do this just in case.

When using the UPS Ground Freight API, it is required to register your UPS.com user ID profile (the one that requested the Access Key) on the UPS LTL Freight web site. It is important that the address information in your UPS.com user ID profile matches the address information setup for your UPS LTL contract.

1. Log into UPS.com with your user ID and password.
2. Go to http://ltl.upsfreight.com/ and select “Register”. **EDIT** Google for TForce since the buy-out

Please reference the LTL Instructions for Negotiated Rates.pdf file that is provided in the documentation you downloaded from UPS.com.

Please contact us if you need any additional assistance.
