SQL Server Installation
1. Download SQL Server Express from Microsoft site: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=42299 (this one is 2014)
a) Click on “Download,” select “ExpressAdv 64BIT\SQLEXPRADV_x64_ENU.exe” (for 64-bit operating system).
b) Click on “Next” to start download
c) Once file is downloaded run installation and under features to install, be sure to select the local database option
d) For authentication, select the option for both Windows Authentication and SQL Server Authentication. You will be prompted to provide a password that will be used to login when connecting to the server
2. When the installation is complete use the following information to connect to the local database:
a) Server Name: (computer name here)\SQLEXPRESS
b) Authentication: SQL Server Authentication
c) Login: SA
